Underage drinking is and always will be a problem in the United States as long as the legal drinking age is 21. Every other country got it right, and no other country has binge drinking problems that young Americans do today. Now that I said how I feel, I don’t think it’s a bad idea to change the colors for fans if they want memorabilia to keep from their college years.
Most college kids will drink whether they are of age or not. Changing the color of a can won’t effect that decision. The most it will do is persuade a fan to buy Busch beer that has their team colors or logo on it instead of buying regular beer. Doesn’t sound like much of a difference to me.
Personally, it is a good marketing choice by the Busch beer company, in my opinion. Does it support underage drinking? Yes. Is that their problem? No. Should we fix this problem? Why haven’t we already.
